Receptionist (Inpatient Unit)

We are looking for a receptionist who will be the warm and welcoming face of our Inpatient Unit and act as first point of contact for patients, visitors and telephone enquiries to the unit. Day to day duties will include:


  • Meet and greet patients, visitors and their families directing them to the appropriate location.
  • Answering all telephone calls and queries in a polite and professional manner, ensuring that messages are delivered to the relevant member of staff.
  • Liaising with the main reception, ensuring that patient admissions and discharges are logged and booking transport when required.


This is a full time role of 37.5 hours p/w Monday - Friday.


You’ll be a compassionate individual with the knowledge and experience of working in a similar administrative role. Being able to hit the ground running, flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of this role will be essential along with confidence using Microsoft Office Suite. You will have excellent communication skills and sensitivity to be able to collect and pass on information effectively, for example when dealing with patients and their families.
