Business Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager to contribute to high-quality care services while shaping the future of hospice care.

 

Garden House Hospice are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to lead and oversee the operations, performance and governance of our Inpatient Unit along with our other clinical supporting teams. This pivotal role will ensure the successful delivery of our strategic objectives, financial targets and KPIs, whilst supporting productivity and transformation initiatives.

 

Who are we and what do we do?

We are Garden House Hospice Care, the Hospice for North Hertfordshire. We are a, multi award-winning hospice that puts the patient at the heart of everything we do. We are the pioneers of a nationally recognised and innovative frailty service, working with the Lister Hospital, which has seen us expanding our services and helping even more patients through symptom control, reablement or last days of life care. We are looking for someone with the right skills and experience to become part of our amazing team and help us as we grow even further!

 

What are the Business Managers Key Responsibilities?
  • Lead daily operations to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the hospice's strategic plan for the next decade.
  • Maintain financial oversight, establishing a clear reporting structure and accountability for budget management.
  • Monitor performance metrics and report to the Hospice Management Board on revenue, quality, and risk management.
  • Develop and deliver improvement plans where required.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Working in parallel with the Deputy Director of Nursing, ensuring quality standards are met.

 

What experience are we looking for?
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or hospice setting.
  • Strong operational management skills with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
