Tribute funds
Raise money with others in memory of a loved one.
Fundraising in memory is a wonderful way to raise funds for Garden House Hospice Care whilst bringing everyone together to remember your loved one. Create your tribute fund today to get started.
What is a tribute fund?
A tribute fund is a dedicated space online to raise money in memory of a loved one. It is set up via JustGiving and it allows you to track all the money you have raised. Friends, family or colleagues can set up individual pages and link them to your tribute fund, so they can all see how their efforts are helping. You can use to collect funeral donations, for people taking part in events or those organising their own fundraising activities. It can even show money donated offline. No matter how the money is being raised, it can all contribute to your tribute fund. Take a look at our existing tribute funds.
What support will I receive with my tribute fund?
When you set up your tribute fund, you will receive:
- Regular updates on your fundraising total and how your support is making a difference
- Dedicated support with your fundraising from our knowledgeable team, who can sign you up to events or help you create and deliver your own fundraising ideas.
How your fundraising will help
We need to raise £15,300 every day to pay for the care we provide free of charge to more than 2,000 people in North Hertfordshire and the surrounding villages every year. Every penny you raise really does make a difference to the people who need our care today, but to give you an idea of how your fundraising could help or if you wish to set a target:
£215
could pay for five visits to a patient’s home by our community team
£569
could pay for 24 hours of care for one patient on our Inpatient Unit
£3,983
could pay for a full week of care on our Inpatient Unit, for one patient
£15,300
£15,300 would pay for a full day of all of the Hospice's entire services
Kerry's story
Kerry set up a tribute fund in memory of her late Mum, Barbara:
"We used the tribute fund for funeral donations and also for family members taking part in a Hospice event. It is so lovely to see how much has been raised for the Hospice in total and it’s been a special way to remember Mum. I know she would love to see everyone raising money together for a cause she loved.”
