Are you our next Clean Queen… or King? We’re looking for an experienced Team Leader with an eye for detail to ensure the smooth running and management of our Domestic Services Team.

We're super proud of our Domestic Services team here at the Hospice. They work so hard to deliver the cleanest and best environment for the patients within our care. The team achieved the national cleaning standard at a whopping 96%! This was part of our Transformation programme that will take us from ‘Good to Great’, and they've already smashed it!

What does the Domestic Services Team Leader role involve?

• Training, developing and retaining team members.
• Manage absence and organise the rota for the domestic team, ensuring that shift patterns, annual leave and sickness is covered.
• Monitor the standard of work within the domestic team members on a daily basis and complete a checklist to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Act as a role model and resource of expertise for the domestic team and colleagues.

The role covers 20 hours per week. You will be required to work 5 x 4 hour shifts which include Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis. The hours of work will be between 8am-7pm, and applicants must be able to work a mix of shifts.

Previous experience of working within a caring environment may be helpful as the Domestic team have contact with patients, families and visitors to the Hospice.
