Carer's Dementia Training

The Admiral Nurses have identified some of the most common issues/themes in dementia and feel these three training sessions will help carers to understand and manage them better. The topics include; Communication and unmet needs in Dementia, including behavioural challenges; Physical needs, including pain, nutrition and delirium; Anticipatory Grief, carers emotions and feelings; Looking after yourself and planning for the future.

 

Four sessions:


  • Session 1 -  Thursday 31st October, 10.30-12.00
  • Session 2 - Thursday 14th November, 10.30-12.00
  • Session 3 - Thursday 28th November, 10.30-12.00
  • Session 4 - Thursday 12th December, 10.30-12.00

 

Please note: When booking you will be booking for all four sessions - sessions cannot be booked individually.


All sessions are at the same time as the Healthy Memory Cafe, where the person living with dementia can be supported while you attend the training.
