Lights of Life Main Service
Lights of Life is an opportunity for people to reflect on precious memories and celebrate the lives of the people no longer with us. In November, we will create a stunning display of lights in our garden as a tribute to the people we love.
Our main service will be held in our beautiful gardens, hosted by BBC Regional Radio presenter, Babs Michel. It will include live music from local singer Roxy Searle and choir Somewhere 2 Sing, readings from staff and families, a moment of silence by candlelight, the official switch on of the Lights of Life and time to wander through the gardens.
Before the service there is an opportunity to purchase warm refreshments and browse a small selection of stalls including Christmas cards.
You are also invited to dedicate a star in memory of a loved one which will be hung in a display with others around twinkling lights for you to view after the service. For each star card dedicated we kindly ask for a donation, which will be used to fund the care we are giving our patients and their loved ones this winter.
More private garden visits can also be booked - each lasting 15 minutes with a maximum of one other group taking in the gardens at the same time as you.
Attendance to the service and gardens is free but must be prebooked due to high demand. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
