Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
New for 2025...
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is up there as one of the most iconic one day walking challenges. Conquering the three highest peaks in Yorkshire (Pen-y-Ghent 694m, Whernside 736m and Ingleborough 723m) and covering a total distance of approximately 24 miles, it is a true test of grit and determination and a hugely rewarding achievement to complete the challenge within 12 hours!
With thanks to Challenge Central for helping us organise this epic adventure.
Registration
The registration fee is just £49 and participants must be 14 or over on event day to take part. The cost of the trip includes:
- A bespoke Garden House Hospice Care event t-shirt
- An expert team of mountain leaders to guide you
- Beverages before starting the challenge and snacks throughout, including a barbecue style lunch and a celebratory drink at the end
- Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge finishers medal
- Advice in preparing for your challenge
- Support with your fundraising
Please note: Transport and accommodation are not provided. We will have a support van during the event where you can leave and access your belongings in between peaks. Hotel recommendations can be found in the link below:
Sponsorship
We ask every walker to pledge to raise a minimum of £450 for Garden House Hospice Care. Why? Because this will fund the seated exercise sessions at nine of our Wellbeing Hubs for one week, each attended by an average of 33 lonely and isolated people in locations around Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a charity event and this year's entry fee of £49 only part covers the cost of you taking part in the event. Garden House Hospice Care needs to raise £7.7 million a year to continue providing specialist, palliative care for local people.
