TCS London Marathon 2026
We have secured 12 charity places at the TCS London Marathon, Sunday 26th April 2026.
Running a marathon is no mean feat, but it's up there with one of the most worthwhile challenges in the world. As well as the physical benefits to reap from training for a marathon, there's also a real sense of achievement and accomplishment to be had.
Garden House Hospice Care is delighted to have secured 12 charity places at the TCS London Marathon in 2026, taking place Sunday 26th April. One of the most popular full-length marathons in the world, the route takes in many of the Capital's best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.
Are you up for the challenge? If so, read on...
We are looking for supporters who will not only run for us and raise awareness of the vital palliative care we provide, but also support us by raising and hopefully surpassing a required minimum sponsorship target of £2,500. We now need to raise £15,300 every day to fund our entire services, so you will see why this opportunity is so crucial for the Hospice. It is for this reason we are asking all those who wish to be our charity place runner to complete an application telling us why you want to run for us and how you would raise sponsorship.
We will support you with fundraising ideas, an expert team to keep in touch with to should you need any guidance, and of course your very own 'Team Garden House' running vest or t-shirt to wear with pride.
If you think this sounds like you and you want to be considered as one of our charity place marathon runners, please take the time to fill in the form below. We would love to hear from you and will be in touch around August to let you know if your application has been successful.
Please note: Successful applicants will each need to pay a registration fee of £96 (which could pay for four hours of care for one patient on our Inpatient Unit) to secure their place.
