Local business owner gives thanks to our Hospice heroes
The founder of Tracy's Treasured Keepsakes is looking for the public to vote for the staff member who has gone above and beyond in their role at Garden House Hospice Care.
Today, to celebrate our local Hospice Heroes, business owner Tracy Fishburn of Tracy's Treasured Keepsakes launches a campaign for the public to nominate their Hospice Hero at Garden House Hospice Care.
Tracy's Treasured Keepsakes has launched a competition where one lucky nominee from the Hospice will receive a special Uniform Keepsake Bear to celebrate and reflect on their accomplishments and inspiring career within the Hospice.
Tracy's Treasured Keepsakes is offering you the chance to nominate your Hospice Hero, whether it be someone you or a family member have received care from, a colleague you work with or you may even have a family member or friend who you are immensely proud of and want a way to let them know how incredible they are. Nominations will be open until midnight Wednesday 12th June. Entrants will need to explain in up to 250 words why you are nominating them and what makes them so deserving to win this special keepsake bear.
From the staff at the Inpatient Unit at the Hospice, the Hospice at Home community teams that provide care for patients in their own homes, Rehab and Wellbeing therapists providing care to the day service patients all the way through to the Garden team maintaining the beautiful gardens for peace and reflection. Whichever department they work in within the Hospice, this is the perfect way to show your gratitude.

Founder of Tracy's Treasured Keepsakes, Tracy Fishburn commented:
"Having seen how hard the Hospice teams work around the clock in our Hospice it an absolute honour to be able to offer something so personal. My mission through this campaign is to find the Ultimate Superhero and show them how appreciated they are."
Tracy's support doesn't stop there. In addition to this campaign, Tracy has also collaborated with Garden House Hospice Care and all orders Tracy receives via the Hospice supporters she donates 10% of all sales to The Hospice.
Fundraising Co-Ordinator at Garden House Hospice Care, Harry Folgate says:
"On behalf of Garden House Hospice Care, I'd like to thank Tracy for organising such a lovely project to recognise the hard work and passion shown by the lovely members of staff who work for our charity. Our staff feel very proud to be able to work for an organisation that serves a vital purpose in providing care for our community and I'm sure that the winner of the keepsake bear will treasure having something to commemorate their time working for such a special charity.
"Thank you so much for organising this, Tracy. We can't wait to find out who the winning recipient of the bear is."
Working solely on her own and based in Lower Stondon Bedfordshire, Tracy has over five years' experience creating Keepsake Bears, Cushions and Blankets from those sentimental items of clothing that you cannot bring yourself to part with but often you have no idea what to do with them either. Whether it be those outgrown baby clothes, school or work uniform, clothes that belonged to a relative who has passed away and even your wedding dress. Tracy helps you to save space, put them on display and create a precious heirloom for you to treasure for many years.
