Wellbeing Hub Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, independent and compassionate individual to join our Community Engagement Team!
Working with our hugely successful Compassionate Neighbours project, this role will assist with the provision of a weekly programme of Community Wellbeing Hubs, ensuring they are meeting the needs of the local community, their profile is raised locally and the volunteers who help run them are supported and engaged effectively. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week.
About us
At the Hospice, we feel passionate about reaching more people earlier in their journey to receive our support and care, giving them confidence to live well and enjoy life to the fullest. Our Community Hubs and drop-ins help us to achieve this aim.
Our Community Hubs, delivered as a part of our Compassionate Neighbours programme, provide a welcoming, friendly space for people to come along for a cup of tea and a chat, talk to and be listened to by one of our team members, gain information about our therapies and support services, join in a seated exercise group, take part in creative and fun activities that promote health and wellbeing and feel more in control and live life to its greatest potential.
About you
You will have the ability to work independently and in partnership with volunteers to deliver well attended and highly effective Wellbeing Hubs that meet the needs of the communities in which they are held. Ensuring that all attendees are made to feel welcome, that they all get the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing and that they become more connected to a local community and ultimately the hospice, are key elements to this role. There will also be the opportunity to seek out new opportunities for establishing new hubs across the region.
In return, we can offer you the support of an experienced and supportive Community Engagement Team, access to a range of staff support services and the opportunity to be involved in developing new initiatives. We reward our staff with autonomy in their role and a supportive culture that encourages healthy work life balance.
