Young Entrepreneurs Challenge
Develop students' business skills whilst
raising vital funds for Garden House Hospice Care. Will your team rise to the challenge?
Welcome to the Young Entrepreneurs Challenge. Designed to develop students' business skills, the project challenges teams of students from each school to create a business plan, event
or idea that will raise funds for Garden House Hospice Care from an initial £50 investment. It's the perfect chance for your students to gain vital skills whilst supporting their local charity.
Could they turn that £50 into £500, £1,000, £1,500 or more for the Hospice? With the support of you and our business mentors, we believe they can.
How it works
- We will provide each school team with a £50 seed capital loan, plus the services of a business mentor to offer guidance and
support to students. - Across the Spring/Summer terms, pupils will then seek their mentor's advice on their business plan and how to pitch their ideas to our Dragons Den.
- They will use their business knowledge as they host fundraising events or come up with an idea to raise as much money as
possible. - Pupils will also learn more about our specialist palliative care services and how all money raised from this challenge will go towards supporting patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses across our community.
- The challenge ends with an awards ceremony in July to celebrate the successes of all students.
