Distribution Coordinators
We are looking to recruit two part time Distribution Coordinators to support the team at The Depot, our warehouse and distribution facility in Letchworth.
What will I be doing?
You will support a team of staff and volunteers to manage donations of second hand and preloved goods and process them to ensure our charity shops are fully stocked so they can reach their income targets. You will work with various teams including our Online Sales and Upcycling teams to maximise on revenue potential.
What skills do I need?
This is an exciting and varied role and would suit someone who has experience working in charity shops, or who has a passion for pre-loved and sustainable goods. You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate and work with people from all backgrounds. You will be responsible for managing a team of volunteers, so it is essential that you are able to support and lead a team of people. You should have a good understanding of health and safety processes and be confident in supporting volunteers with this. A great work ethic, the ability to think on your feet and a sense of humour is also necessary!
Why work for Garden House Hospice Care?
We know that our staff and volunteers are our greatest asset. We can offer you the support of an experienced and supportive retail management team, access to a range of staff support services and the opportunity to be involved in developing new initiatives. We reward our staff with autonomy in their role and a supportive culture that encourages healthy work life balance.
What hours will I be working?
This is a part time position covering 25 hours per week. This role requires weekend working, as we operate on a rolling rota over seven days. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and have the ability to adapt to the needs of our growing and changing business.
